The Art of 4MAT is an independent street artist based in Los Angeles, California. The work moves between walls, canvases, and installations — a body of work built one wall at a time.

4MAT began painting on walls in the mid-2010s, working anonymously across Los Angeles. The practice moved into the studio in 2019 — canvas, mixed media, and increasingly ambitious installations — but never left the streets.

The work sits at the intersection of graffiti, protest, and fine art. Money, ownership, and value are recurring themes. The Money Hand — the studio's signature piece — has since traveled to twelve cities.

    First wheatpaste installations across downtown LA.

  2. 2019

    First solo studio show. 12 pieces, sold out in three days.

  3. 2020

    Nationwide sticker campaign — 5,000 stickers, 40 cities.

  4. 2023

    The Money Hand painted. Piece goes viral within a month.

  5. 2024

    First permanent mural commission. Downtown LA.

  6. 2025

    Group exhibition, private gallery, Miami.

  7. 2026

    Ongoing — originals, editions, and installations continue.
